The appellee, Carolyn Pearson, was a customer of the Rice Rittenhouse parking garage, which was operated by the appellant, Allright, Inc., in downtown Houston. One July 8, 1980, Pearson was robbed at gunpoint, and her automobile was stolen form her inside the unattended, multistory garage.
